Activities and operations of WOC (Int) are hitherto funded through voluntary contributions by the regional branches UK and NL and various private sponsors (including some bequests).
In addition, we received in 2014 support from the SICOT-Foundation. Continuing sponsorship is requested, but not yet decided on.
Board members did not receive any attendance / travel or expense reimbursement.
Nevertheless, the financial basis for the execution of targeted projects is at this time too narrow. Effective fundraising is needed urgently.
At the upcoming meeting in Rome we will discuss with the delegates membership fees and fixed contributions by the regional branches and representatives and install a fundraising committee.
WOC is, according to Belgian law, recognized as an international non-profit organization ( “association international sans but lucrative”- aisbl) and is not taxable.
Gifts to WOC (Int) are, therefore, depending on national law, deductible from income tax. Please check with your tax consultant.
If desired, the Treasurer can issue a donation certificate.
